The Padres Reacts Survey Results: Trevor Hoffman's Enduring Legacy

The latest survey reveals a heartwarming tribute to one of the San Diego Padres' most cherished players, Trevor Hoffman. The Gaslamp Ball survey asked fans which bobblehead would entice them to Petco Park, and the overwhelming choice was the Hall of Fame closer himself. The Hoffman bobblehead will be a cherished keepsake, available to the first 40,000 fans on July 8th, when the Padres take on the Arizona Diamondbacks at 7:10 p.m.
Hoffman's journey with the Padres began in 1993 and continued until 2008. During this period, he amassed an impressive 552 of his 601 career saves, including his career-best 53 saves in 1998, which propelled the Padres to the World Series. The bobblehead pays homage to that magical season, featuring Hoffman in the iconic navy-blue uniform with white pants and a navy-blue hat.
The Don & Mud theme game bobblehead, featuring Don Orsillo and Mark "Mud" Grant, secured the second spot. The broadcast team, known for its excellence, often receives praise from Padres fans, who create signs celebrating the duo. This bobblehead will be given out on July 31st, when the Padres host the San Francisco Giants at 6:40 p.m., and fans must purchase a theme game ticket to receive one.
New Padres closer Mason Miller also made a significant impact, receiving 20% or more of the vote alongside Hoffman and Don & Mud. The Miller bobblehead will be available to the first 40,000 fans on May 7th, when the Padres face the St. Louis Cardinals at 7:10 p.m.
Despite a slow offseason for the Padres and their general manager, A.J. Preller, the team's star-studded lineup, including Manny Machado, Fernando Tatis Jr., Jackson Merrill, and Xander Bogaerts, continues to attract fans. The added incentive of a bobblehead giveaway provides an extra boost of motivation for fans to attend games in person, creating a memorable experience.
